When you find a stylist that is not only the most talented Extensionist, colourist and stylist you’ve ever had the experience dealing with and is the most amazing human being you keep her! Sara Braidwood I’m talking about you!
So let’s talk about my experience. I have been an extension wearer for the past 12 years (yes 12) I’ve worn everything from tape-ins; micro beads; and the no-sew method. I’ve had hair loss; bad experiences where the extensions were just moved up; putting unwanted pressure on the same hair for months at a time. If you suffer from thinning hair you get desperate; IYKYK. I was finally at the point where I was going to “suck it up” and cut my hair short and start over. Enter Sara Braidwood.
Her first comments were “hair and scalp health first always. I will not do extensions and put you worse off then when you started.” Immediate respect. She gave me her time and educated me on her method and explained the difference of what I had in the past vs. what method would be best for me. Sara’s extensive training and experience gave me the confidence to allow me to be comfortable in letting her decide what method would be most suitable; my opinion on this 3 years later has not changed. I am going on 3 years with Sara and my hair growth and scalp health has never been better. (Also let’s been honest who doesn’t love bombshell hair! ). I trust Sara that if my extensions needed to come out she would not hesitate to do what is best for me.
Sara colours the extensions to match and blend seamlessly with my own hair it’s very rare you can tell I’m wearing extensions (this is a big deal to me). There’s isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t look in the mirror that I’m not grateful for Sara. It’s devastating as a women dealing with hair loss and Sara has given me my confidence and hair health back.
